Two new publications co-authored by SMC Group Leader Dr Stuart Thickett have recently appeared in press.
Photo-driven synthesis of polymer-coated platinized ZnO nanoparticles with enhanced photoelectrochemical charge transportation - this recent publication appeared in the Journal of Materials Chemistry A. In this work, it is shown that a thin conformal coating of polymer prepared via the oxidative polymerization of phenol greatly improves charge separation in ZnO nanoparticles - a material that is a promising semi-conductor photocatalyst.

Revised insights into templating radical polymerization within nanoreactors - this recent publication in JPSA sheds light on the preparation of polymers mediated via nucleobase interactions in a self-assembled "nanoreactor." This work was conducted primarily by Dr Antoine Tardy, who was a post-doc employed as part of an ARC Linkage Grant won by Prof Per Zetterlund and Stuart.
